This Bible study was written by a great friend of mine named Aaron. He originally wrote it for people who had been going to a Bible study he was teaching during Operation Enduring Freedom. I decided not to alter it, but instead to write this little disclaimer so the reader would understand some of the references Aaron makes about the deployment he was on.
What Next?
One can amass vast head-knowledge of Scripture yet not benefit from it. God warns us about this in James 1:22, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” Before returning home, I want to leave you with one final challenge. That challenge is simply: be a doer of the word.
I rejoice in the fact God has revealed the truth about His word to many people on this deployment. Through study and prayer several people have come to believe and accept the simple fact that GOD has preserved His words (Psalm 12:6-7) in the English 1611 Authorized Version (King James Bible).
If you have taken this stand, praise God that you can finally claim God’s promise in Proverbs 22:21, “That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee.” Without having the very words of the Living God we will not be able to answer the world. Modern, contemporary “Christianity” is a mess today because it does not, “know the certainty of the words of truth.” It has forgotten that God’s word is the single most important and valuable commodity in the entire world. Knowing that God’s name is holy and extremely important (Isaiah 57:15, Ezekiel 36:23, Exodus 20:7, etc.) we should not fail to realize that His word is more important: Psalm 138:2, “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Furthermore, if we reject God’s word (KJB) for a satanic corruption (2 Corinthians 2:17) we will miss out on: the power of God (Hebrews 4:12), victory over sin (Psalms 119:9-11), the Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17), God’s approval (2 Timothy 2:15), faith (Romans 10:17), and even possibly salvation (1 Peter 1:23). Don’t take my word for it—look it up!
That begs the question, “what next?” As a Bible-believing Christian, I must refer you to what the Bible says. The Bible commands us to be faithful to a local assembly of believers (the local New Testament Church) in Hebrews 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Most of you already attend a church in the states; but these churches do not stand for the preserved words of God being the King James Bible. I would like to take a second to show that the Bible (not I) says that we should withdraw ourselves from such churches. I understand this may be difficult but if we are to trust the Lord (Proverbs 3:5-7), we must be diligent to do what He says.
If we are truly going to stand for God and His word we must withdraw from those who do not. I realize this is unpopular and even goes against our natural instincts. However, if the King James Bible is the perfect, preserved word of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible commands separation from all those who do not stand for it:
1 Timothy 6:3-5, “If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.”
The teaching of the scriptures is clear that a Bible-believing Christian should have no part with even other saved people who do not: believe the Bible; practice sound doctrine; or walk in an orderly and obedient manner to the Lord.
Romans 16:17, "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark
them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine
which ye have learned; and avoid them."
Ephesians 5:11, "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
II Thessalonians 3:6, "Now we command you,
brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves
from every brother that walketh disorderly; and not after the tradition
which ye received of us."
II Thessalonians 3:14, "And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed."
II Corinthians 6:17, "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate; saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”
I realize this can be a very hard truth for many, but it is the truth nonetheless. I urge you to pray over this and on faith (Hebrews 11:1) step out in obedience to the Lord and see what the difference of being a faithful member of a King-James Bible believing, local, independent, New Testament, Church can make in your Christian walk.
If you do not know of a King James Bible-believing Church in your area, let me recommend a helpful resource. The “Bible-believing Church Directory” at www.biblebeleivers.com lists hundreds of Bible-believing local churches. However, this is not close to a complete list of KJB Churches in the US. If it does not list a church in your area, I recommend calling every independent Baptist church in your phone book until you find one that stands for the King James Bible as its sole authority!
I pray you will prayerfully receive this challenge from the word of God. America’s only hope for revival is for Christians to return to serving God (John 4:24) in truth (John 17:17). God only accepts our worship when it is according to His word! This life is short (James 4:14) and it is our only chance to serve God by faith! It will be worth it all when we see Jesus!
Romans 14:11-12, “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
